The CVS Team

All CVS Professional Hunters are highly qualified and formally trained. They have an intimate knowledge of the African bush and wildlife and are unquestionably passionate about their roles. They all have Big 5 and Plains Game experience, are extremely enthusiastic and great fun to be with. Not only do they serve as guides in the field, they are also your personal hosts for the duration of your safari.

All CVS Professional Hunters are full professional members of PHASA (The Professional Hunters Association of South Africa), which is the governing body and official mouthpiece of the industry that ensures that the laws of the land are upheld and that all members conduct themselves in a manner which reflects honesty, integrity and morality. The relationship between a professional hunter and his tracker is almost a brotherhood. Many of our trackers are 2nd and 3rd generation members of the CVS safari family.

CVS is very proud of our wonderful, energetic and dedicated team of trackers. Mention is always made of great professional hunters who, without their superb trackers, would seldom achieve the results they do!

The relationship between a PH and his tracker is almost like a brotherhood. Our CVS Trackers are Zulu's - the proudest nation in South Africa. Zulu's at one time thrived on war and hunting, dominating most of Southern Africa for years. Our trackers take great pride in everything they do, even the mundane tasks such as cleaning the hunting vehicle on a daily basis before the morning hunt. Their eyesight rivals that of Eagles, their instincts and tracking skills are unmatched. Many a wounded animal would never be found without them, or even spotted for that matter. They understand the importance of impeccable skinning to ensure perfect skins for the mounting of cherished trophies. What is incredible though is that even they have been skinning trophies until 2:00am, their smiles and enthusiasm never fails.
