All our camps in both South Africa and Botswana offer accommodation of the highest order. They are comfortable, safe and serviced to cater to your every need. Depending on the areas you visit, you will be accommodated in either typical “Hemingway style” tented camps, thatched rondavel bush lodges, spacious bungalows under thatch, old colonial style homesteads or quaint country inns and cottages. All rooms are private and have en-suite bathrooms, with hot and cold running water, flush toilets etc. All linen, towels and other amenities are provided and laundry is done daily. Some camps have electricity however those that don’t are powered by either generators (which are turned on in the early mornings and evenings) or solar panels with standby generators.

Electrical outlets are 220 – 240v A.C in both South Africa and Botswana. It is recommended that an international plug set is brought along. The water in all camps is clean and is pumped from boreholes. Bottled water is provided for drinking. In keeping with our policy of exclusivity, we will endeavour to provide exclusive use of the camps and hunting areas for each safari, however we are at times unable to guarantee this as we are restricted in some hunting areas by changing flight schedules for example and other factors beyond our control. You will however be notified of this should it be the case. Because of the nature of our camps and the variety of other available activities, our family safaris are most popular. Our camp staff are highly trained and our hospitality is legendary.

Coenraad Vermaak Safaris will cater for specific dietary requirements where possible. Prior to your arrival, you will be requested to fill out a Dietary Information Form to indicate to your safari caterer what your meal and beverage preferences are and if there are any allergies that she should know about. Based on this, your caterer will put together a special safari menu for you and your group to ensure that everyone's needs are taken into account. Good, wholesome home cooking is the order of the day with fresh fruit and vegetables served daily along with various cuts of beef, chicken, pork, and plenty of venison….. not to mention our desserts which are to die for!

Our catering team serves not only as chefs in camp but also as hosts & hostesses to you and your family. They are assisted in camp by our hard working camp ladies and managers who will ensure that you are comfortable at all times. Together they make certain that your rooms are tidy, your laundry is done daily, the camp fires are kept burning, hot water bottles are tucked in your beds on chilly winter nights, drinks are out and ice is plentiful! We also request that if any birthdays or special occasions are to be celebrated during your safari, we are made aware of these should you wish.
