I particularly enjoyed the privilege of hunting a Rooipoort and taking the time to tour the Bushmen etchings and the Shooting Box. The history that is preserved at that place is extraordinary. What a treasure! I also enjoyed my stay at Fugitive's Drift. Having read and studied the account of those battles made the tours of Rorke's Drift and Isandlwana even more interesting and emotional. A stop at Nikki Rattray's battlefields lodge should be mandatory for all of your clients!
Of course the hunting was exceptional! The quantity of game in your concessions is always tops and the quality is exemplified by the new Number One Springbok I took at Rooipoort. After 14 safaris, I'd come to believe new world records were mythical. We all knew this was an exceptional ram when we saw him, but I never dreamed he would lead the pack. I'm looking forward to displaying him in a place of honor. Please convey my thanks and appreciation to all of your staff for another "expectation-beeting" experience. I don't know how you'll top this one, but we'll try again in a couple of years!"

“... I have literally just walked in the door from the airport ... Tired of course, but I felt compelled to write to you immediately and try in words to express my deepest appreciation for the opportunity you guys have just afforded me. Never in my wildest imagination did I expect to return from the hunt with such an incredible, fabulous, huge-maned lion. By now, and especially Murray, you know my fully devoted passion for hunting the "King of the Beasts". Everyone has their opinion about trophies, and which one is the world's greatest, etc, etc. For me however, there is no debate. The African Lion, is what hunting is all about!!This was my 14th safari to Africa, my 11th lion hunt, and my 8th lion trophy. I can say without a doubt, you guys have the most well-managed, and completely organized safari company I have ever dealt with. From beginning to end, and especially the detail brought about by Teresa with follow-ups, itineraries, help getting medication I needed, etc. I just have not experienced anything quite like it.
Secondly, I would like to personally express my great pleasure with my PH, Mr. Murray Hibbs. From beginning to end, he was an absolute gentleman and a first rate hunter. To harvest such a magnificent trophy, obviously was one of the great highlights of my life. Quite frankly though, having Murray as the PH really made it something extra special. He knew from the beginning my devotion to shooting a great lion, and without a doubt he made it into a personal mission for the both of us. I very much appreciated his dedication to the task at hand, that along with his experience and knowledge of the area, is without a doubt what lead to our most fortunate success. A better PH, a client couldn't ask for, and a better "team player" CVS would be hard pressed to find. To you Murray Hibbs, a sincere THANK YOU.
Again, words just cannot describe to all of you how pleased I am with my trophy, and the efforts put forth by everyone involved at CVS. Thank you all for everything!!!
